Our company made its first attempt to enter the vacation property market in early 2007. We started with an in-depth study of the meaning of the terms, vacation home, second home, etc.

We wanted to discover what creates this need in the modern person and what he/she expects when making such a purchase.

What are the "needs" that make people want to buy a vacation home rather than spend their holidays staying in hotels and what types of hotel services do they expect when they stay in one?

Therefore, we had to research this modern-day reality in the vacation home market.

To that end, we attended numerous exhibitions on second home ownership held in various European cities such as London, Vienna, Cannes, Moscow, St Petersburg, Milan, to name but a few.

In addition, we also attended numerous seminars on the same subject. 

We then decided to establish a new department in the Group, MORFI ISLANDS, which will be devoted exclusively to this new activity.

Our first stop at this stage of our plans was Mykonos. The luxurious villas at Ornos were where we first cut our teeth in the summer home market. But we did not stop there.

During this period, the economic recession began, something which we had to seriously take into consideration. We had to keep costs as low as possible but the quality had to reflect the company's prestige in the market. The challenge was indeed much greater.

So MORFI ISLANDS' first project in Crete, called "THE SECRET OF THE GARDEN", was the culmination of a lengthy study and it reveals the enormous amount of effort that went into the project's conception and design.

The project's incredible success as measured by advance sales has already since the beginning of 2009 set MORFI ISLANDS thinking about its plans for its next such project.
